What is Zeus?

Zeus is a scamware created and distributed by adware developers that installs itself in Chrome, IE and Firefox and monitors the pages the user visits in order to place adverts on the website. After it completes its installation, Zeus tracks the usage and browsing behavior of each web browser active and then attempts to display unwanted ads in the form of banners, text-links, interstitial and popup ads. Most ads take the form of unwanted software installations for registry cleaners and go so far as offering to install other scamware ware and even strait out malware through exploits that take advantage of flaws in Flash or Java.   2. Delete the folder Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe.
  3. Once you've tried deleting all the content, go inside the Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe folder and try deleting the remaining folders.
  4. Restart your computer.
  5. Re-register Microsoft Edge in your account. Open the Start menu, search for Windows PowerShell, right-click it from the result, and select Run as administrator.
  6. Type the following command and hit Enter cd C:\Users\Username. (Replace "Username" with your user account name.)
  7. Type the following command exactly and hit Enter: Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers -Name Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml" -Verbose}.
